As magical and bewildering circumstance had it, I was yesterday
presented with both a challenge and new room in which to explore an
instantaneous process of making a thing. In that room, during that moment, there was no time for distance from the living. I don’t feel that I've written and recorded a song any more than I was able to just capture being in a very particular space, at a particular time, drawing sound and emotion to a surface. The impulse behind sharing this song is to present a very rapid and uncontrolled process in which I was able to get as close in time as humanly possible to an energy as I felt it swarming. The words you hear are words that came into my head as I was recording the vocal take over some guitar chords I’d been playing around with that day. Then the bass and other noises were played along to that a few times after...
